Former Bachelorette contestant Sarah Heron shared the heartbreaking news Wednesday night that she welcomed a baby boy with fiancé Dylan Brown, but lost the baby shortly after he was born.
On January 28th, at 24 weeks old, our sweet son, Oliver Brown, was born. He passed away in his father’s arms shortly after, Heron wrote in an emotional Instagram post tracing the joys and sorrows of their short time with their son.
“There are no words to express the amount of loss and the pain we are going through,” she added. It is beautiful and tragic at the same time. He had his father’s nose and mouth and long fingers.

She makes it clear that little Oliver has been a constant companion on her adventures during their time together.

Among her photos was a black and white photo of Sarah looking peaceably as Dylan, a film director, kissed her forehead while Oliver was resting on her chest.
But she gave a look of agony in another color photo as she lay in her hospital bed, as Dylan kissed her forehead again and put her face in his hands.
The former Bachelor in Paradise contestant looked back fondly as she showed off her burgeoning belly in an old mirror selfie.
She smiled, too, as she went over her usual morning routine to Oliver, with Ryo sitting on her lap while she snuggled under a blanket.
Another showed a majestic sea turtle that swam with it while Oliver was still along the way.
Sarah added in her caption, “While our hearts are broken beyond comprehension, we are relieved to know that our son’s soul only knew love and would not suffer in a body not built for this life.”

Sarah, who underwent IVF treatments to help her conceive, announced that she and Dylan – whom they became engaged to in May 2021 – were expecting their first child together in September 2022.
She wasn’t shy about sharing the details of her treatments with her fans on social media, and that openness was the reason she was willing to share the news of her pregnancy relatively early, rather than waiting.
