The second season of Call of duty‘s Modern Warfare II multiple f Warzone 2.0 Arrives on February 15th The official blog Yesterday details the many changes we can expect for the different game modes, some of which should keep fans of the original going war zone People are very happy. Not only will Ya restore 1v1 gulags, but there are also some major changes to loot that you’ll want to watch out for.
Season 2 will include a number of quality-of-life tweaks to the user interface, as well as improvements to the audio across the game. Along with the weapon credits (details on those to come), season two is kind of a throwback, visionary war zone And MII Finally making some mods that fans of old games should feel very familiar with. The gulag, loadouts, backpacks, and more are all modified, some to a very high degree. Let’s get it in.
The gulag jailer is out and the flags are back
Warzone 2.0 It brought a host of changes that were not necessarily successful in society. The 2v2 gulag mechanic and Jailer, who produced a sponge bullet from an NPC in the middle of a gulag match, are probably high among them. While we’ve learned that 2v2s are being replaced by the familiar 1v1 showdowns, people should be happy to know that Warden is on his way out too. Now, just as it was in the beginning war zoneCapturing the original overtime flag will determine who gets out alive. Capture the flag, and you will scatter again on the battlefield; If both players fail to capture the flag, the person with the most health wins.
Season 2 will also see more guns in the gulag, with assault rifles, SMGs, and LMGs, aided by pistols as a secondary weapon. There are no hunting rifles, so sad days for fools like me.
Money, money, money (there’s more of it in the next season of Warzone!)
There are also some big changes to how gear, loot, and cash work in the battle royale starting February 15th. Contracts will deal with slightly less cash, but to make up for it, you’ll find higher cash amounts all over the map, with a minimum of $800 found in piles and $500 found in cash registers.

No more digging in backpacks
In another inversion of the unpopular mechanics, Warzone 2.0 is to allow you to loot the fallen enemies as you did last time; Instead of hunting through their backpacks, all of the loot will come out of the enemy when searching through their items. Also, you don’t have to worry about medium and large backpacks anymore. Starting February 15th, all players will have access to a single-sized backpack.
The blog explains that this is an attempt to reduce item hoarding, too; If you have played at all war zone Lately, you’ve definitely gritted your teeth in the near dust when an enemy keeps resetting itself because of the impressive nine revive combos.
my city I contacted Activision to explain how this change affects carrying a third weapon in your backpack.
You get a 3-laminate vest, you get a 3-laminate vest, you get a 3-laminate vest!
Starting with Season 2, all players will start with a 3-plate armor jacket and you can say goodbye to the one- and two-plate version. While I think this is a good way to even out on the court, players equipped with three boards are sometimes difficult to take down, so we’ll see how this plays out. Color me a touch skeptical about this.
OMG Warzone gear will no longer suck
A few war zone Players were happy with how the gear worked at launch. Fortunately, we saw loadbombs reappear a few weeks ago, but things are only going to get a little better.
You will no longer need to rely on curated benefits packages. While the amount of perks available at the start of Season 2 will be slightly less than what we see in the main multiplayer mode Modern Warfare IIFinally, you will be able to customize your benefits package. Additional perks can be read on based on how well this initial bid worked.
And while you can still only buy your primary weapon from a purchase station in Season 2 (also at a reduced cost), loadout drop marks will also come in handy. Matches will also see a second General Event gear drop.
In general, gear will be more customizable and you will have easier access to it. Sure win.
Everything is coming to the DMZ (the best mode in the game)
I mean, that’s really what you’re here for, right? Although it’s still in beta, the DMZ is getting some very welcome changes to the ones we’ve been stuck in the Entry/Loot/Exit loop. Here are the most important ones:
- DMZ AI should be a little cooler: AI spawn rate, enemy type, accuracy and “much more” all receive adjustments.
- Spawn points will no longer look barren: No word on whether the distance from another player’s spawn will get some tweaking, but expect better loot nearby and valuable contracts nearby.
- Missions get depreciated: Getting all your blowing flares up to date? Non-traditional DMZ missions will be modified to allow people to open the second secured slot a little faster this time around.
- We get a new map: By joining Farm and Building 21, a blog update promises a third option with new map-specific tasks to do.
my city I reached out to Activision for details on accessing the new map and whether it will require a key like Building 21. We’ve also asked for more clarity on how a player’s spawn points will change.
Some other important changes include a complete update of all missions. Since many of the quests often involve collecting tedious items, I suspect people won’t be too happy about dropping out of the map with buncha gas cans, blow torches, or the very rare GPU ever again. Don’t freak out too much, as we are expected to get some new missions as well.
The blog also promises fixes for the stability of the game. Since you lose all your shit when you die in the DMZ, it won’t be much fun when you hit your desktop. Crashes remained a recurring problem throughout Call of duty (especially on PC), which is uniquely frustrating when you lose a three-panel vest, a large backpack, a self-revive, and the M13B you just scored in a solo race on Alchemist.
There’s no word for a workaround or “rejoin” functionality for players who have timed out or are stuck and have lost all their items, which is an often-requested feature in the community right now. We just hope that the game will be more performant and stable on February 15th.
No, they haven’t (completely) forgotten about traditional multiplayer gameplay
If you pay $70 for your traditional software Modern Warfare II Multiplayer modes, you may feel completely ignored. Well, season two won’t exactly leave you without a fish in your pocket when the next month arrives. Here are all the expected changes to the regular multiplayer mode:
- Advanced audio returns: You may have noticed that the sound has stopped a bit MII, and you will be right. Season 2 will see the return of a more advanced audio lockout system that should make audio queues more reliable.
- Hurry up, baby! Ultimate rewards and perks will unlock faster in Season 2.
- Weapon balancing: There were no specifics, but expect some gun reset across the board with Season 2.
- hardcore: You can stop yelling at Twitter and Reddit about it. Hardcore, featuring limited HUD and friendly fire, returns to replace the Tier One multiplayer mode. Go have fun, freaks.
Players can also look forward to a Twitter poll once a month to determine which of the rotating mode playlists were the most popular. This will be on Infinity Ward’s Twitter account, so follow them or something.
The fine print: All other Warzone changes in Season 2
Season 2 also contains a number of other changes across the board. Just as in traditional multiplayer modes, audio has been a major area of concern for the community. The upcoming seasonal update promises some improvements here, especially for PC gamers.
It appears there was a bug in how computers handle the audio pipeline in MII. To address this, the game will now have an option to force stereo output. PC players should check the in-game audio settings for this new option as well as the Windows audio settings for best results.
But there are many other quality of life updates to look forward to. They include the following, as listed in the official blog:
user interface
A number of UI/UX updates are coming to Season 2 to improve the overall flow of in-game menus. These updates include:
- Improved navigation and organization of the Camo menu
- More refined social tab, including improved channel switching and player muting
- The new “My Package” screen
- Quick equip of items from the Battlepass, My Bundles, and Store
- Retina previews in the shop and gunsmith
- Improved clarity of attachment blocking logic in Gunsmith
- And many more bug fixes
We also recently introduced a fix that restored:
- Instance speed of recent drivers in the list
- Friends status update
More details on these changes and more will appear in the Season 02 patch notes.
expertise
- Improved post work report with audio
- Play Again feature in Battle Royale
- Bug fixes for inconsistencies between:
- Challengers, battle battle, advance arms
The second season of Warzone 2.0 And Modern Warfare IIMultiplayer drops on February 15th. Now that I have direct access to my equipped Victus sniper rifle, your three-panel bra will only get you so far. You are in my eyes.
(Who am I kidding? I hide throughout the game.)
